The Customisation looks simply stunning, the art style intriguing, the gameplay original. This game is going to be great, I plan on using the Medic Class, whilst my favourite class in TF2 was the Pyro, I liked the idea of the Medic, but didn't like the look or personality of the character, with Brinks customisation, I can have both the character and attributes. Also, the turret class should be a great laugh.
My guess would be it was the plane shown in the Co-Op trailer...
I consider it to be a highly customisable Team Fortress 2, and that is a VERY good thing...
A guy can dream, right? :P
Those "Snakes" were Riftworms. And Gears of War has quite a good story, with plenty of questions and underlying plotlines, such as Marcus' Father and his connection to the Locust, and, why he was angry about the decision to sink Jacinto (After credits of Gears of War 2). There are the characters past's, and if you read Karen Traviss' Gears of War novels, you'll discover alot of answers to unanswered Gears of War questions, such as the fate of Dizzy. Also Karen Travis...
If you'd played a game in the franchise, you'd realise how wrong your statement was...
The debut footage demonstration was incredible. However, for me (As I spend almost all my online gameplay on Xbox Live) it would need to make its way to consoles for me to get it, regardless, I hope the developers have a great deal of success with the title...
That isn't going to happen. I'm happy with unique locations where you can go indoors, but, like you, I wouldn't mind a few more...
"Gears of War: One of The Most Amazing Video Game Series You'll Ever Play"
Fixed. (My favourite franchise)
Hahaha! I completely understand where you're coming from. I'm awaiting the day of an article reading "Cancelled Call of Duty...".
Whilst I would prefer Assassins Creed 3 and a longer development time than one year, I'm glad to hear the arabic text reads "Altair" as he's my favourite character in the series...
Hopefully he'll be returning as the Protagonist once more.
I've played all 3 of the games, and I also have the iPhone 4 game. I loved Assassins Creed 1, 2 was great, but felt too similar to the original, I didn't even reach the end of the game without taking time out and playing another game, why? Because due to the lack of new mechanics, it got tedeous and repetetive. Brotherhood was good, but again, for some reason, didn't feel as much of a progression from the previous game as a sequel should. I just want Ubisoft to focus on making Ass...
A Well written review, aswell as a good read. It's a shame Activision ran this franchise into the ground. When it first came into the picture it was original, fun, and, well, fresh. But slowly it became less about the Guitar. There was so much more innovation that could have been pumped into the franchise, especially with the introduction of Wii and Kinect. It would have been good to see us get scored higher for dancing around the room like the God that is Matthew Bellamy and for pulling ...
I want a system where you can deal with situations in multiple ways. I hears the story was going to revolve around a cop, so as an example of my "want" for the game would be: You find a shady looking guy trying to break a car window, you approach him, being a cop, you can either:
- Ask if he has any drugs, if so confiscate them and return them to the police department for credit.
(OR) Keep them and take them.
(OR) Sell them for extra cash.
My top 5:
- Hitmonlee
- Blastoise
- Lugia
- Mewtwo
- Machoke
Why people find it neccessary to start criticising and hating the Gears of War Franchise due to an article on a site many of us have never heard of is beyond me. Did Epic Games state that Gears of War has no competition? No.
In fact, Cliff Blesinski stated just a matter of days ago that he was looking forward to Uncharted 3, and the guys over at Naughty Dog have been playing the Gears of War 3 Beta and claimed they loved it.
Don't start hating on the Gears of W...
I'm thirsty, has anyone got any Milk?
"not that Wii games look bad"
Apart from a select few games, the graphics are unbelievably behind.
The first screenshot is taken from the new "Conduit 2", the second is taken from the 2006 PS2/Xbox game "Black".
A multiplayer that doesn't play itself. Where it's possible for memorable kills and where there can be unique moments. Having been playing the Gears of War franchises multiplayer from day one, I have LOADS of happy moments, and, from the Gears of War 3 Beta I have hundreds. One that comes to mind is a triple kill from shooting an enemies mid-air grenade whilst I was last man standing...
In the end, its all down to personal preference. I like games that require skill...
The review is well written, informative and a good read. My only suggestion would be to add a bit of colour. Being a Media Studies student at college, I know a lot about how the colour of a page can result in the maintaining or loss of interest. I would suggest you look at some "EDGE" Magazine articles, they are very good examples of brilliant page designs. Also, I wouldn't have the text so close to the edge of the page.
Great review though!
